NSD Training Academy — Full Program Details
Program Overview
The NSD Training Academy is a long-form Salsa training program designed for dancers who are ready to move beyond memorizing patterns and into deeper technique, movement quality, and connection.
This is not a drop-in experience. It’s a 3-month guided training journey built to help dancers develop confidence, clarity, and consistency in their dancing — by learning, practicing, and training together as a cohort.
Who the NSD Training Academy Is For
The Academy is a great fit if you:
Want to improve technique, body awareness, and partner connection
Are ready for consistent, intentional training
Are open to learning from both sides of the dance
Want your dancing to feel smoother, more grounded, and more confident
The Academy may not be the right fit if you:
Prefer casual or drop-in-only classes
Are unable to commit to the required weekly schedule
Are not ready to prioritize training as part of your routine
Program Length & Commitment
Length: 3 months
Commitment: Required for the full program duration
Enrollment: Limited to maintain a focused, high-quality training environment
This commitment allows dancers to build skills progressively and develop a deeper understanding of Salsa from both roles.
Enrollment & Cohort Structure
Enrollment is limited to 22 dancers total: 11 leads and 11 follows
Dancers are accepted as a cohort to maintain balance, quality of training, and partner consistency
Required Weekly Training Schedule
Academy dancers are required to attend the following each week:
Tuesdays — Salsa Foundations (Role-Switch Training)
7:00 PM: Salsa Foundations I & III
8:00 PM: Salsa Foundations II & IV
Academy dancers will be required to dance the opposite role of what they typically dance. This role-switch training is intentional and foundational to the Academy.

Wednesdays — On2 Flow
8:00–9:30 PM
On2 Flow is a required part of the Academy and serves as consistent, high-energy practice for:
Shines
Partnerwork
Each week features fresh material and helps dancers apply technique in motion.
Thursdays — Academy Training Session
7:00–9:30 PM
These extended training sessions focus on:
Technique and body mechanics
Partner connection and responsiveness
Musicality and movement quality
Integrating everything learned throughout the week
This is the core training space of the Academy.

Pricing & Payment Options
Monthly Tuition: $300/month
Program Total: $900 (3-month commitment)
Tuition & Value Context
Academy tuition reflects the depth, structure, and commitment of this program. Each month includes multiple required training sessions, structured role-switch Foundations, extended Academy technique classes, On2 Flow integration, included socials, and dedicated practice time.
Rather than pricing each element separately, tuition is structured as a single monthly investment in long-form training, consistent growth, and a supported cohort experience.
Payments: Tuition is billed as automatic monthly payments for the duration of the program. Specific billing dates will be shared prior to enrollment.
Tuition covers all required training, included socials, and practice hours during the program.
What’s Included
Academy tuition includes:
All required weekly training sessions (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays)
Free admission to Salseros Social for the full 3 months of enrollment
2 hours of open studio practice time per month, usable however you choose
Practice time is exclusive to Academy dancers
Guests may attend practice time for $20/hour per guest
Attendance Policy (Very Important)
Consistent attendance is critical to the success of the NSD Training Academy.
Dancers may not miss more than 3 days per month
This equals a maximum of 9 total absences over the 3-month program
Attendance includes all required classes (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday)
Example:
Missing one full week of training due to travel or vacation counts as 3 absences for that month.
Please manage your schedule accordingly. The Academy is designed as a progressive, cohort-based experience — missing training affects not only your growth, but the experience of your partners.
If a dancer misses 4 or more classes in a single month, their ability to remain in the program will be evaluated case by case by the instructional team.
If a dancer is asked to leave the program due to attendance or commitment concerns:
Payment for the full program will still be expected
Refund & Transfer Policy
No refunds, transfers, or credits once enrolled
This policy ensures fairness, consistency, and program integrity for all Academy dancers
